Mass protests and rallies have taken place across the United States against President Donald Trump, with demonstrators expressing strong anger over what they describe as authoritarian governance, Strict immigration policies, and the possibility of war with Iran; according to organizers, more than 3,300 events were held across all 50 states—from major cities to small towns—with at least 8 million participants, although no official nationwide figure has been released by authorities, making this the third major wave of protests under the grassroots “No Kings” movement since Trump’s second term began in January 2025, now emerging as one of the most visible forms of opposition; in New York City, Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro joined thousands of protesters and described Trump as an “existential threat” to the nation’s freedom and security, while demonstrations spread from Atlanta to San Diego and even reached Alaska, where a former soldier stated that no country can function without the consent of its people and warned that the Constitution is under threat; near Detroit in West Bloomfield, citizens braved freezing temperatures to protest, and in Washington, D.C. thousands marched with banners reading “Trump must go now” and “Fight fascism” as they gathered at the National Mall; the movement has also spread beyond U.S. borders, with solidarity protests held in European cities including Amsterdam, Madrid, and Rome, where around 20,000 people marched under heavy security; organizers and activists claim that the current administration is drawing the country deeper into global conflict while increasing militarization at home, raising concerns about human rights violations and crackdowns on immigrant communities, as Trump’s approval rating has reportedly fallen below 40 percent ahead of the upcoming midterm elections, putting the Republican Party at risk of losing control of Congress, while critics continue to condemn his unilateral style of governance, alleged use of the Trial system against political opponents, lack of commitment to environmental protection, and preference for displays of military power; at a rally in Minnesota, progressive Leader Bernie Sanders sharply criticized Trump, calling him a pathological liar, a kleptocrat, and a narcissist who consistently undermines the Constitution and the rule of law, while legendary rock musician Bruce Springsteen performed a protest song in Saint Paul—written and recorded within 24 hours—in memory of two Killed citizens, stating that their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten, highlighting how this unprecedented wave of protests reflects deep political polarization and growing instability within the United States.
