Iran’s Revolutionary Guard has announced that not only ships associated with the United States and Israel but also those of their allied countries will not be allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
In a statement on Friday, March 27, the Revolutionary Guard said that today, vessels from three different countries attempted to transit the strategic waterway. However, after warnings from the Guard, all these ships were forced to turn back.
The statement further emphasized that any enemy or allied vessels attempting to violate the restrictions and pass through the strait will face strict measures.
According to the Revolutionary Guard, “Three cargo ships from different countries tried to follow a designated route. But our naval forces compelled them to return. The Strait of Hormuz is now completely closed. Any attempt by ships to navigate through it will be met with strict action. Allies of the United States and Israel, or those who support them, will not be allowed to enter or leave any ports. Using any route or reaching any destination through this strait is now prohibited.”
