total of 20,553 pilgrims from Bangladesh have arrived in Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj, traveling on 51 flights under both government and private arrangements; meanwhile, one pilgrim, Naim Uddin Mondal (75), has passed away (Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un). According to the latest Hajj bulletin released on Wednesday (April 22), information provided by airlines, the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Hajj Office in Dhaka, and Saudi authorities states that as of 2:59 AM, 7,855 pilgrims traveled on 19 flights operated by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, 7,015 pilgrims on 18 flights by Saudia, and 5,693 pilgrims on 14 flights by Flynas; among them, 2,830 pilgrims traveled under government management while 17,693 traveled through private arrangements. So far this year, one Bangladeshi pilgrim has died in Saudi Arabia, identified as Naim Uddin Mondal from Joypurhat Sadar Upazila. The official Hajj journey from Bangladesh began on April 18, when the first dedicated flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines departed with 419 pilgrims for Saudi Arabia; outbound flights will continue until May 21, while return flights are scheduled to begin on May 30 and conclude on June 30. It is Note that this year 5,565 pilgrims will perform Hajj under government management and 73,935 under private arrangements.
