Israel believes that antisemitism, or anti-Jewish hatred, has increased at an alarming rate worldwide, and in a recently published special report by the country’s Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism, a list of 10 influential figures for 2025 has been Featured , where their activities and messaging are accused of promoting anti-Israel and antisemitic narratives; the report states that through social media and public speeches these individuals are spreading conspiracy theories and misleading information that incite hostility toward Israel and Jewish people, among the prominent names listed is climate activist Greta Thunberg, who according to the report did not condemn the October 7 Hamas attack and instead maintained a position critical of Israel, using terms such as “genocide,” “blockade,” and “mass starvation” regarding Israeli actions in Gaza, U.S. media personality Tucker Carlson is also accused of promoting various conspiracy theories about Jews through his online platforms, particularly claims about Jewish influence over media, finance, and U.S. foreign policy which the report says contribute to spreading hatred, Candace Owens is likewise included in the list with allegations of discussing a “Zionist media empire” and promoting misleading theories about Jewish groups, she is described as a far-right political activist and a promoter of white nationalism, and the report notes that she has denied or downplayed the Holocaust, the list also includes Danish influencer Anastasia Maria Loupis, American influencer Dan Bilzerian, Egyptian-American comedian Bassem Youssef, British-Palestinian journalist Abdel Bari Atwan, Muslim preacher Omar Suleiman, and American content creator Ian Carroll, commenting on the report Israel’s Minister of Diaspora Affairs Amichai Chikli said it reflects deeper trends, especially in the United States where criticism of politics often turns into conspiratorial and antisemitic rhetoric, he added that identifying and addressing these trends in time is their responsibility, source Algemeiner.
