Iran has stated that, according to preliminary estimates, the total damage caused by the ongoing conflict has reached nearly $270 billion. However, officials have cautioned that this figure is not final and could increase over time.
According to the country’s semi-official media, government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani shared this assessment in an interview. She noted that war reparations have emerged as a key issue in the ongoing discussions.
She further explained that calculating wartime losses is a complex process that requires evaluation at multiple levels. While the current estimate is significant, it remains preliminary, and the final figure could be considerably higher.
