The ongoing global crisis signals the arrival of the ‘Dajjal’

The world is currently facing a period of intense political tension and economic uncertainty, with conflicts, geopolitical rivalries, and financial instability increasing across different regions; in particular, the ongoing tensions involving Iran have pushed global dynamics into a new and complex reality. In this context, a prominent Catholic priest has issued a warning, suggesting that current global conditions bear a striking resemblance to ominous prophecies described in religious texts, and according to theologians, such circumstances could create a suitable environment for the rise of a deceptive figure often referred to as the Antichrist. The concept of such a deceiver exists in the world’s three major religions; in Christianity, the Antichrist is believed to be a powerful deceiver who will oppose Jesus Christ and lead many people away from true faith before the end times; in Islam, Al-Masih ad-Dajjal is described as a great deceiver who will falsely claim to be Isa (Jesus, peace be upon him) and eventually claim divinity, misleading humanity and spreading corruption until he is ultimately defeated by Isa (peace be upon him); in certain Jewish traditions, a figure known as Armilus is mentioned as an oppressive enemy who will oppose the true Messiah and persecute the faithful. Recently, Father Chad Ripperger spoke on the “Shawn Ryan Show,” where he highlighted similarities between current global conditions and descriptions given by earlier Church leaders, stating that such a deceiver would emerge during a time of widespread moral decline, a process he believes has been unfolding over several decades; he further explained that the Antichrist would not necessarily rule through direct political authority, but rather by controlling global economic systems and financial structures, thereby exerting influence over the world; however, he also clarified that these prophecies are not being fulfilled at this very moment, but the present global crises may be shaping the kind of environment that could eventually lead to their realization.
